Entering the realm of online marketing has been a super thrilling journey for me thus far. Setting up an internet business is everything I could have ever imagined: time-freedom, flexibility, the creative freedom, and the countless opportunities to meet new people and using my own initiative to develop something remarkable. There are new learning opportunities every day in this exciting whirlwind. Finding work-life balance Despite the excitement, I know how critical it is to create a positive work-life balance right away. Taking care of myself is essential to building a successful business, and that’s where self-care enters the picture. If I’m operating on fumes only, how can I possibly hope to provide my clients with new ideas and creative strategies? Finding work-life balance is a journey on its own to be honest. I’m excited to share some practices (besides prioritizing tasks, setting clear boundaries, keeping schedules etc.) that have helped me thrive and maintain work-life balance in my journey as freelance digital marketer and coach. Self-Care Superpowers: Breathing, Nature, and building Resilience. One of the biggest game-changers for me besides prayer, has been incorporating mindfulness practices into my day. Mindfulness meditation is one beneficial self-care practice. Every day, I try to set aside some time to practice mindfulness, which involves relaxing and grateful thoughts. It might sound simple, but it clears my head, keeps me calm and sets my intentions for the day. To help you focus better and cope with stress as an entrepreneur, try incorporating this technique into your morning routine or during short breaks during the day.  Videos of guided meditation or smartphone apps can be helpful. Speaking of calming my mind, I’ve also found that spending time in nature is a total stress reliever. Spending time in the garden or a park and practicing some breathing techniques does wonders.
